Young in Spirit and Physique
As a weight-trainer John loves any heath fitness and recreation programs, but as a senior citizen he was hesitant to join the group of kids in the YMCA Takekwondo program.

He decided to have a talk with the course instructor, Mr. Raj Rai who immediately encouraged John to participate.

At the time, John experienced some sleeping problems and numbness.  He hoped exercise would provide some relief.

In the taekwondo classes Master Raj was very strict about stretching.  He would say, “taekwondo not like aerobic exercise.  All parts of our body should be disciplined and stretching only can make it happen”. 

John took his advice to my heart and stretched every day with amazing results.  John enjoys more sleep and fewer aches and pains.  He accredits taekwondo for his physical relief. 

Fully participating in all exercises, John continues to enjoy coming to the classes.  He finds it keeps him young in spirit and physique.  Mr. Rai and YMCA staff have been a big support in John's life for their thoughtful and continued service.
