Opening Circle in the Sun
Activities will include both large-group circle games and songs!

Group Flag...with an Outside Twist!
Using only the supplies you find in the field/park Outside, you’ll construct a group flag that highlights all the interests of your group members!

• Octapus: try not to get tagged as you run from one side to the next, or you may be turned into seaweed!
• Floor Hockey Time: Our great Canadian gym-time game … floor hockey!
• Relay Races – Canadian Style: How fast can you put on all the winter gear, run across the gym, through the hoola-hoops, dunk one basket, and tear off the winter layers?  You’ll never know till you try – the key to this task is working together!

Lunch
It’s Hobart challenge time!  How many Canadian athletes you can you name in thirty minutes? Track your progress with the sheets your counselor gave you and work with your fellow campers to hit every letter of the alphabet!

Swim Time
It’s time to cool off in the Petticoat, Bruce’s Mill, or Toronto Island outdoor pools, or splash in the lake at Kelso! Water Polo Time.  Don’t feel like swimming, optional activities include Sand Castle Fun or various forms of Beading!

• Super Heroes and Villains: Are you a super hero or villain?  If you’re a villain you better make sure you’re hiding spot is good enough that a Super Hero won’t find you!
• Capture the Flag: Guard your team flag at all costs! At the same time, your group must work together to capture the opposing teams’ flag!
• King’s Court: It’s dodge-ball without getting tagged out!  When “caught” continue to help your team out by tagging people from your ‘jail’ line!
• Horse and Jockey: It’s like musical chairs, without chairs!  Try to see how long you can stay in the game by mounting your horse before your fellow camper!
• Rock Hunt: Try and collect the most interesting rocks you find on our way back to camp!

• Rock People - Using the paints/pastels/glue/googley eyes/feathers/pipe cleaners, create a rock family
• Sock-Puppets - Get creative, and add sock people to your rock people
• Caterpillar Creatures - Add a toilet paper caterpillar to your rock and sock puppet family!

Snack, Busing, Journals and Departure
What was your favourite activity today ? Write/or draw in your journals so you can take it home and share it with your family!
