For several years, Cynthia has relied on the ‘Go Kids Go’ fund to send her kids to a YMCA Camp. She was so impressed with their camp experience that she was shocked to learn how few families in her community were sending their children to camp.

Eager to give back to her community and encourage her friends and neighbours to discover YMCA Camps, Cynthia recruited over 20 families to fill out camp registration forms. In late July, she walked into her local YMCA and handed them a stack of camp registrations. Thanks to her initiative, dozens of children who would otherwise have missed out had the opportunity to enjoy a truly memorable camp experience.

Near the end of the summer, Cynthia called a member of the YMCA administrative team and asked how she could repay for her children’s camp experience. The reply was simple: “You already have.”
