YMCA Ontario Early Years Centres

The first six years of a child’s life are critical to his or her future. How we care for our children during these important years sets the tone for their long-term learning, behaviour, and health.

YMCA Ontario Early Years Centres are places where parents and caregivers can get the help they need to get the most out of these first six years:
  • They allow parents, caregivers, and children to participate in programs and activities together
  • They let parents and caregivers work directly with early years professionals and other experts from the community
  • They provide guidance on other programs and services that are available for young children

There is no charge for these programs, which can do so much for your family:

  • Teach your child to read
  • Help new parents get ready for a baby’s arrival
  • Build new parenting skills
  • Point the way toward other community programs

Ontario Early Years Centres are government-funded, and are located in communities across the province. The YMCA Ontario Early Years Centres represent a unique partnership that also allows the YMCA to leverage its depth and heritage of community service. It’s the best of both worlds.
