Job Search Jump Start - This workshop will give you the necessary life skills to help you remain employed one you have landed a job. You will learn about your employment rights and learn about health and safety on the job and gain a valuable safety certificate.
Career Testing - Unsure what career path you want to take? Our Career Aptitude Testing will help you gain valuable information to help you make and informed decision.
Job Search and Interview - You will learn all the essential skills you need to conduct an effective job search including cold calling, networking and information interviewing. Interview skills will also be discussed, including describing strengths and skills effectively, answering tough interview questions and how to make a good impression
Mock Interviews - Sit down with a staff member for a practice interview. After the interview the staff member will help you to analyze and improve your interviewing skills and give you feedback to make you more confident for your next interview. Please note: You will be given an interview time, please prepare how you would for a real interview
Cover Letter Essentials - Grab the hiring manager’s attention with an effective covering letter! Learn the proper format for the letter, how to incorporate your skills and experience, and how to match your qualifications to the employers’ needs.
Resume Wednesdays - In addition to acquiring new skills in resume writing and formatting, you will also learn how to tailor your resume to employers for maximum results. Leave with a resume that will get you noticed.
Smart Serve - You will gain the skills you need to understand and implement responsible service. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to recognize the signs of intoxication, and know your responsibilities and obligations under the law. You will learn how to create a hospitable environment by promoting non-alcoholic beverages and food, and by encouraging alternative transportation. Fee for workshop is $20.
