Do you have dreams of running your own business but aren’t sure where to start? We can help turn your dreams into reality!
Our range of programs, workshops and services can help you develop a solid business plan.
If you live in the York Region are receiving Employment Insurance or have received Employment Insurance in the past three years (or five years, if you have been on maternity/paternity leave), the YMCA Business Centre offers two programs that may interest you, the Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program and the Youth Entrepreneurship Program
If you are receiving Social Assistance, check out the Toronto YMCA Employment Resource Centre and the Ontario Works Self-Employment Program
If you’d like to start your own business, but aren’t eligible for YMCA programs, we can also refer you to a number of agencies that can help you at no initial cost
