The Ed Lupton Memorial Classic Golf Tournament held on Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club raised $58,000 for YMCA Strong Kids. The Lupton family designated the fund to “Send Kids to Camp” – as Ed would have wanted.

Ed Lupton built a success business in the Durham region and was a generous philanthropist and active community member. The event was dedicated to and celebrated his life .

Ed’s daughter Sue is a Durham YMCA member and Leadership Council member, as well as a successful business person in Durham Region.

The YMCA is a charity that serves all segments of our community and provides financial assistance for all of our programs. Thanks to generous donations like these we can share YMCA Camp experiences with low income children, youth and families.
