One of Toronto's legacies, the Metro-Central YMCA first opened its doors almost 100 years ago. During those years, we’ve certainly grown and evolved! In 1984, we opened up a brand new facility on Grosvenor St. and the rest, as they say, is history.

With two full-size gymnasiums, a six lane 25 metre pool and over 100 group fitness classes offered each week, the Metro-Central YMCA has something for everyone. Take a look at our user guidelines to learn more about the Metro-Central YMCA. We're open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, to make the perfect spot to strengthen your body, spirit, and mind.

Today, almost 350 volunteers and 150 full-time and part-time staff members, help serve a growing member base of approximately 12,000 people. To keep up with our community’s evolving needs, we added a Family Development Centre and recently renovated our spacious locker rooms, conditioning area and social spaces.
