Recertification Process

Awards are valid for 2 years. All prerequisites must be completed prior to the award expiry date.

Prerequisite for Recertification:
  • Attend minimum 16 hours of training every 2 years
  • Proof of 50 hours of instruction in past two years
  • Current annual Standard First Aid/CPR
  • Annual practical observation and evaluation by YMCA Trainer-Fitness or YMCA Training Educator
