Newcomer Information Centre

The YMCA of Greater Toronto is here to help you settle into your new life in Canada. That is why we make all of our newcomer services available to you for free or at a very low cost. Canada’s governments fund many of our services.

At the YMCA Newcomer Information Centre, you can:

  • Find up-to-date information to answer your questions about living in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Get referrals to the community resources you need to settle into your life in Canada
  • Attend information sessions with our professional and multi-lingual staff to learn more about Canada’s culture and society
  • Learn about your rights in Canada
  • Find the information you need to find a job
  • Use our resource library, computers, Internet connections, fax, and photocopier for free
  • Learn how you can volunteer to gain Canadian working experience

In addition to our Toronto YMCA Newcomer Centre located near Yonge and Bloor in downtown Toronto  (42 Charles Street East), we have the following centres across the Greater Toronto Area.  Find one near you:

We also offer many workshops to help you learn about life in Canada. Come visit us today!
