Our YMCA Newcomer Youth Leader Corps is an important step forward in service to youth in our community.
The program will assist its members in their settlement process and help them become active and engaged as new Canadians. Once a week the group meets with an advisor and a youth volunteer.
The YMCA can provide a much needed source of support as youth adjust to a new language, new school system, and new culture.
The program will grow to about 15 members and like all YMCA Youth Leader Corps, it will provide opportunities for volunteerism and leadership. Please contact our Newcomer Centre for more information.
