Over 160 members and guests packed the auditorium at the Metro-Central YMCA for the Association’s 153rd Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Sandy McIntyre, Chair of the Board, emceed the meeting which celebrated the Association’s connections to the community and its achievements in finance and governance.

President and C.E.O Scott Haldane spoke about the numerous partnerships, new programming initiatives and philanthropic achievements, all of which have increased access to YMCA programs for GTA residents.

Guests were each provided with a copy of the annual report, My Community My YMCA, and treated to a full-course meal provided by the YMCA’s Hospitality Training Program.

The evening ended with an engaging and interactive presentation by facilitator Mark Bowden on building and sustaining trusting and passionate connections.
