Monday, October 24 marks the 58th annual United Nations Day.
First celebrated in 1948, United Nations Day commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter.
On this day in 1945, 51 countries, including Canada, committed to preserving peace through international cooperation and collective security. Today, 192 countries belong to the UN.
