Thursday, September 20 marks the 20th anniversary of the Learning Opportunities Program. This year’s theme is Living and Learning – The Celebration Grows.

The Learning Opportunities Program assists adults and youth move toward independence, continuing education and employment. For over 125 years, the YMCA has been providing literacy services. Railway YMCAs offered literacy training and reading rooms to railway workers.

This year we celebrate the community members whose lives have been enriched over the last 20 years through the Learning Opportunities Program. Through the dedication of YMCA volunteers and staff YMCA literacy services will continue to enrich lives.
