A delegation of 100 YMCA staff members turned up to celebrate the launch of the United Way of Greater Toronto’s annual campaign at an afternoon rally held Thursday Sept. 6, 2007 at Dundas Square.

The YMCA of Greater Toronto has relationships with seven United Way’s across the Greater Toronto Area. These relationships span the continuum from information connections to formal partnerships – all with the goal of helping local communities improve lives.

Across Canada, 122 United Way raise money to allow local agencies to run programs and services that help people reach for a better life. The United Way’s mission is to improve lives and build community, and local United Ways bring communities together to identify needs and provide solutions.
