The YMCA of Greater Toronto partnered with the YMCA of Liberia in 1999.

2005-2008: Ongoing project "Institutional Building and Youth Empowerment Program." 1,000 youth receive sexual health education and 120 are trained in Peace Mediation.
2005: The YMCA of Greater Toronto hosted a youth from Liberia. This visit promoted the exchange of culture, ideas and information.
2001: The YMCA in Liberia hosted a partnership visit by a group of staff and a volunteer from the Brampton YMCA as part of Liberia’s AGM. The visit served as a forum for the exchange of ideas and resources on youth programs.
2 000: The YMCA of Greater Toronto hosted the YMCA of Liberia and their international partners as part of their strategic planning process.
1999: The Brampton YMCA hosted a partnership visit from the National General Secretary of the YMCA of Liberia and established a partnership agreement.
International Programs are supported by the Government of Canada through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
