Opening Circle
Activities will include both large-group circle games (Octopus), and songs (A Long Time Ago, Down by the bay)!

Crab Soccer
It’s a new twist, on an old game.  Let’s play soccer crab style to get the day started!

Base-Ball Fundamentals
Learn to bat, catch, and run as your counselor sets up batting and catching practice!  Play a game focusing on the skills that you have just learned.

Team Building Activities
  • Trust Walks: Lead a fellow camper around the site blindfolded!  Be kind, you will be next!
  • Trust Falls: Do you trust you teammates? It’s time to find out in group "trust falls"!

Lunch
It’s Hobart challenge time! You have 30 minutes to name as many Canadian Olympic athletes as you can! Can you name more than your fellow camper?! Track your progress on the sheet your counselor has provided!

Swim Time
It’s time to cool off in the Petticoat, Bruce’s Mill, or Toronto Island outdoor pools, or splash in the lake at Kelso! Don’t feel like swimming?  Explore your creative side with boondoggle, hemp and yarn to make sports necklaces!

Ultimate Soccer Challenge
It’s time to challenge another sports group to a friendly game of soccer!

Criss Cross
  • Arts: Paper-Mache Sports Style!  It’s time to get dirty with flower, water, and newspaper – don’t worry, we’ll paint them tomorrow when they’re dry! What are we making??? Soccer, football, or baseballs – the choice is yours!
  • Outdoor Discovery & Pond Exploration:  It’s time to discover the world of Crayfish Creek (Kelso), or the Petticoat, Toronto Island, or Bruce’s Mill ponds! How many minnows can you catch? How many different birds can you see? Track them with the info sheets your counselors have provided!

King’s Court
It’s dodge-ball without getting tagged out! When "caught" continue to help your team out by tagging people from your ‘jail’ line!

Snack/Bussing/Journals/Departure
What was your favourite activity today … swimming, sand art, or animal survival? Write/or draw in your journals so you can take it home and share it with your family! Remember to bring your journal back tomorrow!
