What types of activities will we participate in?
The Outdoor Centre offers a wide range of
programming to suit your particular
group’s needs. We’ll work with you to design
just the right program to meet your educational objectives.
Depending on your program, you will take part in some or possible
all of the following activities:

Outdoor Living Skills
High Ropes

What should I bring with me?
Please pack according to the weather. Some of the items you should
consider bringing include your toiletries, a water bottle, a hat,
sunscreen, running shoes, a small backpack, a camera, a sleeping
bag, a flashlight, and rain gear.
Try to avoid bringing personal gaming devices,
MP3 players, CD players, cell phones, valuable items, or any
other items you are worried about losing or damaging. You can
also download our very prepared packing list.

At what times are meals served?
Breakfast is served at 8:15 a.m.
Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m.
Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.

What type of food do you serve?
All of our meals are pre-approved by a
nutritionist, ensuring they are both healthy and delicious. In
addition to following Canada’s Food Guide, we can
accommodate participants with special diets (including those with
allergies). We even have vegan meals available upon request.
Because of allergies, we do not serve any nuts in any of our
meals.

For how many hours do the programs run each day?
Programs start at 7:00 a.m. and can sometimes go
until 10:30 p.m., with one hour for lunch and one hour for dinner.
We can also schedule time for rest and relaxation, as
required.7

Are there activities we can pursue during free time?
Free time is supervised by teachers or supervisors. We can provide
games or equipment for that time and can show you where to go for a
great hike, a game of soccer or just to sit and read a book.

Do you have telephones available?
Yes. We have one pay phone located in the Dining Hall that can be
used at night or when participants are not in program.

What if we can’t afford the program fees?
You can apply for
financial assistance, please let
us know when you call to ask about our programs or at the time of
registration.
Financial assistance allocation must be completed
one month prior to your program participation.
Together, we can provide all our members with opportunities for
personal growth, community involvement, and leadership.

Do you have a staff area or meeting place?
Yes we do. We have a lounge for teachers/staff
located in our wellness area of our dining hall. We can also make
other space available in our resource building if your group
requires additional space.
