1 . Smoking and alcohol
Smoking is not permitted at our site because of the nature of our site. If the need exists we can designate a smoking area that would be the responsibility of the teacher or supervisor of the group.

Alcohol cannot be consumed by students at YMCA Camp Pine Crest.

Adults may only consume alcohol if arranged prior to your visit and only in designated areas.

2 . Parking
Visitors to YMCA Camp PineCrest can park near the Winter Lodge Building or behind the Dining Hall. Delivery vehicles can park at the Dining Hall. Vehicles are not permitted on pathways
3 . Months of Operation
Our Outdoor Centre is open early of May to late June and reopens early September to late October.
4 . Meals
Meals at YMCA Camp PineCrest are served family-style at the following times:
Breakfast 8:30 a.m.
Lunch 12:30 p.m.
Dinner 5:30 p.m.

We are a nut sensitive site and can accommodate all dietary restrictions to the best of our ability

Please ensure that you fill out our health form for all participants prior to arrival so that we can accommodate your needs

5 . Audio visual equipment
You can borrow our audio visual equipment during your stay. We have available to you: overhead projector, screen, DVD player, VCR and a television

If any of these materials are damaged, you will be charged an additional fee. You may also be charged for the use of our computers, phones, or photocopier.

6 . Off-limit areas
Unless a part of the program, visitors would need a visitor’s pass to walk though camp property

Rope courses, climbing walls, and waterfront areas can only be used under the supervision of camp staff

We often have multiple groups on site at one time, so their living quarters would also be off limits along with any areas reserved for them

7 . Student behaviour
Students who visit YMCA Camp PineCrest are expected to behave with respect towards their peers outlined in our code of conduct. Please arrange for an emergency vehicle to be present in case a misbehaving student must be sent home.

YMCA Camp PineCrest can provide you with additional staff to help with supervision. Please be aware that our staff members are not available for nighttime supervision

All students must complete the waiver forms before participation in program

8 . Cancellation policies
We require a payment be made in full upon arrival the first day of your program.
  • In the case that you need to cancel your program with the YMCA Camp PineCrest Outdoor Centre we will keep your initial deposit of 25% of your total amount stated on the contract
  • In the case that you cancel within 72 hours of your intended visit to YMCA Camp PineCrest we require that you pay 50% of the total amount stated on this contract immediately after cancellation (deposit included)
  • In the case that your total amount stated on this contract amounts to $5000.00 or greater, the cancellation fee is 75% (deposit included) of your total amount stated on this contract

9 . General policies
Our full time staff have pets on site so visiting pets are not permitted on site unless authorized by the camp manager

If any buildings or program equipment is damaged during your stay, you may be charged an additional fee

YMCA Camps are not responsible for lost or stolen property or damages to vehicles and their contents

Due to our rocky slippery terrain we ask that you wear closed toed shoes or sandal with a back strap at all time. Flip flops are not acceptable footwear at our site.
