Waterfront programs
Our camp is located on three lakes for campers to enjoy. The main docks are on Clear Lake where we do most of our swimming, canoeing, kayaking, snorkelling, water regattas and greasy watermelon games!  On the back lakes, many groups take advantage of the tri-lakes portage for a day trip and they are also the spots where our youngest campers do their overnight trip.

All of our program and counselling staff at Pine Crest are NLS lifeguards so that cabin groups can fully utilize our waterfront programs at any time!graphics

High and Low ropes courses
A great way for groups to try initiative challenges 30 feet in the air or test yourself individually doing our zip line or flying squirrel. Our low ropes courses are used by groups everyday to encourage them to work together and get through challenges in a positive and democratic way.  All staff running ropes courses are Level II Instructors for high ropes.

Camper cabins
Each camper will have their own bunk and shelf space to spread out and comfortably move into their new space at camp. Cabins sleep 8 campers and 2 counsellors with a centrally located washroom in the cabin section.

Our camp borders a Night Sky Reserve, the Torrance Barrens which means that we have very little outdoor lighting at night. This adds to the magic of the northern night sky but don’t forget your flashlight!graphics

Special Events
Each session you can expect some zany characters to lead you through a day of challenge and excitement for our All Camp Days and theme nights. Campfires are a very popular tradition at PineCrest where campers and staff present their talent to the camp.

We work hard at being active all session so Sunday is our sleep in breakfast followed by a quiet Reflections program.graphics
Canoe Trips
Each camper and leadership participant at Pine Crest goes on a canoe trip during their session. This is a longstanding tradition at Pine Crest and we are very proud of our progressive, skills based canoe trip program. Campers learn at an early age to work together to make camp, develop paddling skills and portage skills, enjoy the outdoors with a no trace camping philosophy and eventually increase their days on trip as they get older.

Our canoe trips change each session to ensure we are not overloading the camp sites we use however popular routes include:

Mattawa River, Haliburton, Algonquin Park, Go Home Lake, Temagami, French River, Moon River, Pickerel River, Musquash River, Mattawaska River, Georgian Bay and many more.

Location
We are very lucky to have 650 acres of protected wilderness as our property for groups to explore and play in. Located in Muskoka, ON between Bala and Gravenhurst, our site of rocky shores and crystal waters is a beautiful place to spend a summer.
