Creating Memories: YMCA Camp Pine Crest

Message from Camp Director

YMCA Camp Pine Crest - Andrea BalmerThank you for your interest in YMCA Camp Pine Crest! The next few pages will give you a more in-depth view of what our camp has to offer.

The summer program is for boys and girls ages 7-15. Campers can enjoy traditional camp activities with a balance of in-camp skill development and activities with a focus on group dynamics and leadership.

Youth ages 12-16 can challenge themselves in our leadership or adventure leadership programs, where excitement and challenge are a main goal. Groups will work hard during their program to show their individual leadership while enjoying some of our more extended trip options.

Each summer, we hire excellent counsellors and programming staff to deliver the best camp experience for your child. Support for our programs goes beyond the camp session. We have a large community of alumni, campers and their families, staff, donors and volunteers to ensure Pine Crest is the best it can be each year.

Our Outdoor Education Centre provides opportunities for students to experience hands-on lessons in the outdoors, work together to build strong teams at school, and learn about their own comfort zones. We also provide teambuilding workshops for corporate and small private groups.

Each camper will go on a canoe trip, make new friends, learn about living in the outdoors and enjoy the magic of camp. Your child will come home a more confident, independent leader, and will have memories to last a lifetime.
