17-year-old YMCA member Ivan Kizito is one of the winners of the Mobile City Contest. The photojournalism competition, held in both Toronto and Milan, Italy, was aimed at urban youth aged 16 to 22. Youth in under-served areas had the chance to learn from professional photographers.

Ivan has been a Y member for two and a half years, and learned about the contest from the YMCA Rexdale ProTech Media Centre. Rexdale Advisors held workshops and provided guidance and support to Ivan and other contestants.

Ivan is off to Milan on July 5 for a weeklong, all-expenses-paid cultural exchange that is sure to be the experience of a lifetime. Congratulations to Ivan and the YMCA Rexdale ProTech Media Centre!
