Reaching Out, Creating Awareness
Whether it's substance abuse or gambling, today's youth often deal with addictions far earlier in their lives than society would like to admit. The YMCA Youth Gambling Program and the YMCA Youth Substance Abuse Program can help you to make healthy choices and stay safe.

Your first step is to learn more about the potential risks and identify skills for making informed decisions. The YMCA of Greater Toronto can help. Working directly with you or organizations within your community, we offer a wide range of free services, including:

  • Prevention education programs for youth between the ages of eight and 24
  • Educational workshops for parents, teachers, health professionals, and other agencies and organizations that work with youth
  • Counselling for more directed, one-to-one work
  • Referrals to gambling treatment and substance abuse treatment services

You could be the key to helping a friend who is in trouble. Or to helping yourself. Just click on our  YMCA Youth Gambling Program and YMCA Youth Substance Abuse Program pages for help in identifying problem behaviours and getting the appropriate resources involved.  If you’re not sure where to start, call your local YMCA’s Youth Outreach Worker to get more information about where to go for help or to learn more about our presentations.
