In that time, he has employed more than a dozen members from the YMCA Youth Careers 2000 program. What is special about Ray is that he is willing to support youth employees and help them succeed in the work environment.

Ray fondly remembers a young man who dropped out of Grade 9 and found it hard to hold stable employment.  The young man was unsure how to present himself to employers when looking for work.

A Durham YMCA Specialist thought that Metric Size Precision would be a great placement for this young man. Ray gave him a chance and continued to support him through the rough patches.  The young man is now building his confidence and taking on more responsibility because of Ray and his company.

Partnerships with employers like Ray King enable the YMCA Employment and Community Programs to offer hope to young people through our programs.
